Urbana is one of the fastest-growing parts of Frederick County — a master-planned community south of the city built around new-construction homes, shopping, and community amenities, all just off I-270.
Life in a Planned Community
Urbana was built with amenities in mind: community pools, walking trails, parks, and a village center with shops and restaurants a short walk from home. It’s a popular choice for buyers who want new or newer construction without giving up walkability.
Getting Around
Urbana sits right off I-270, making it one of the more convenient spots in the county for commuting toward Gaithersburg, Rockville, and Washington, D.C.
Local Favorites
Urbana’s village center has grown a real dining scene of its own — Black Hog BBQ and Jasmine Al-Sham Mediterranean Grill & Market are both local favorites. Since Urbana isn’t its own incorporated town, county services and permits run through Frederick County government, and the Villages of Urbana community site is a good source for neighborhood-specific information.
The Urbana Market
Because so much of Urbana’s inventory is newer construction, pricing and availability can shift quickly as new phases release. I stay on top of what’s coming and can walk you through current options.
